We spent most of the time near Wengen where we woke up with views of the Alps and the sound of cowbells at the Wengernalp Hotel.
Then we had a few days on Lake Brienz at an old Grand Hotel Giessbach.

The mountains. The wildflowers. The incredible public transit system. Swiss chocolate. Cowbells. And swimming in glacier water.
There's something special about waking up to those alpine views. It reminds me of other European adventures where the landscape just takes your breath away.
Staying at the Grand Hotel Giessbach on Lake Brienz was a highlight. It's one of those old European grand hotels that transports you to another time. The kind of place that makes you want to slow down and soak it all in.
